Sunday 1 March 2020, with an unmissable evening at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, the Prog Exhibition festival is back! The concert of the Orme with David Cross and David Jackson, along with Barock Project and Aerostation, will open the new Prog Exhibition tour, which will continue for a week touching Florence, Milan and Bologna in the name of imaginative music, that of the protagonists of an era of gold, but also of new local artisans.
On November 5 and 6, 2010, the first edition of Prog Exhibition was held at the Tendastrisce in Rome, one of the most significant events in the recent history of progressive music. The Imaginative Music Festival also had a second edition in 2011. After eight years, D&D Concerti and VentiDieci relaunched the idea with the formula of the tour that will touch some of the main Italian cities in prestigious locations.
It starts from Rome on 1st March 2020 (Auditorium Parco della musica – Sala Sinopoli) with Le Orme feat. David Cross and David Jackson, Barock Project and Aerostation; Paolo Sentinelli, who pays homage to Francesco Di Giacomo and Oak, will be held on March 2 at the same venue with Caravan On March 3 at the Tuscany Hall in Florence, coupled with Caravan + Orme with David Cross and David Jackson. March 4 at the Eco Theater of Milan Le Orme feat. David Cross and David Jackson. March 5 at the Bologna Celebrations Theater Caravan, Barock Project and Aerostation.
Progressive rock, born in Great Britain in the late 1960s, represents one of the most stimulating moments on the international art scene, a true cultural revolution full of free inspirations. It is not just a musical current but a meeting point of multiple stimuli, which draws from the territorial roots and the avant-garde, mixing sounds, styles, poetic verses, visionary and social themes, until it becomes the supporting language that accompanied the generation post beat through the 70s until today, with a growing number of admirers in the world. The musicians of this area entrust their ideas to imaginative music, rich in pictorial and vital solos, to the artwork of suggestive covers, to concept albums made of suites, instrumental pieces and a desire to experiment, from jazz to classical, passing through the folk, in a jumble of multi artistic expressiveness.
