The Zappa Trust Announce that “Zappa Gear” and “The Hot RatsBook” will be released later this year.
Zappa Gear: The Unique Guitars, Amplifiers, Effects Units, Keyboards And Studio Equipment by Mick Ekers, which will also feature a foreword by Dweezil Zappa. Offer an unprecedented inside look at the machinery behind his music. In addition to detailed presentation of the equipment, some of the pioneering iventors, engineers and entrepreneurs in the world of the music. Hot Rats Book: by Bill Gubbins and Ahmet Zappa will launch through Backbeat Books for the 50th anniversary of the Hot Rats album. It will feature unpublished photographs by Gubbin, the only photographer to document the studio sessions. The book also include an interview between Ahmet and Gubbin about the album and the last Mother’s Of Invention US show, which took place at Clevelannd’s Musicarnival on 10 August 1969.
