It’s scheduled for 27 September 2019 the release of the reprint of “Annie In Wonderland“, the first solo album of the Renaissance singer, Annie Haslam. The album originally released for Warner Bros. in 1977, produced by Roy Wood who also composed some tracks, arranged the album and is the author of the artwork. The songs on the album are in various different styles, allowing the singer to express all the nuances of his voice. This is the band that accompanies Annie Haslam (Vocals), in addition to Roy Wood (Electric and Acoustic Guitars, Bass, Double Bass, Mandolin, Cello, Balalaika, Saxophones, Drums, Bass Clarinet, Trumpet, African Drums, Percussion, Moog, Piano, Clavinet, Chorus), there are: Jon Camp (Bass in “I Never Believed in Love”, “Nature Boy” and “Inside My Life”; Bass Pedals and Acoustic Guitar in “If I Were Made of Music “; Choirs in” Inside My Life “), Dave Donovan (Drums in” Nature Boy “and” If I Were Made of Music “) and Louis Clark (Moog, String Arrangements in” Rockalise “, Brass Arrangements, Choirs and Flute in “Going Home”). Annie in Wonderland also contains two compositions by Jon Camp of the Renaissance and three covers. Not available on CD for lng time, this edition by Esoteric Recordings re-proposes the original artwork of the album and includes a new exclusive interview with Annie Haslam.
Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce the release of a newly re-mastered edition of the 1977 debut solo album by the celebrated vocalist with Renaissance, ANNIE HASLAM.
Recorded in London whilst Renaissance were taking a break from recording and touring, the album was produced by legendary musician and songwriter ROY WOOD (who also wrote three songs and played a staggering variety of instruments on the recordings).
The album also featured two compositions by Jon Camp of Renaissance and three cover versions, including a stunning rendition of the spiritual ‘Going Home’.
Unavailable on CD for some years, this welcome Esoteric Recordings edition has been newly re-mastered, restores the original album artwork and features an essay with a new exclusive interview with Annie Haslam.
