After the summer tour success, Ian Anderson and his companions are going to work proposing an illustrated book tracing the career of the historical progressive band. The book will be proposed in two different versions, a limited edition of 500 copies with a handmade case and a special art print, as well as the autograph of Ian Anderson plus a disc with two recordings. The first a narrative poem written and read by Anderson: The Ballad of Jethro Tull, while on the b-side a reading of a poem by Walter Scott made in 1808: Marmion, with the background of John O’Hara, current Jethro Tull‘s keyboardist, played on a cathedral organ. In the classic edition, published in a higher number of copies, there will be a code which will be possible to download a digital version of the recordings. The cover’s artworks and the boxset will be curated by the famous artist Peter Klucik, who also created an art print for the limited edition version only. The book will be out in November on 88 Rocket Books and after the release, the band will start a tour. In June a video presentation was published on the website www.jethrotullbook.com, to explain the project.
